About Ruben

Ruben is a lovely young man with a great sense of humour and a real passion for rock music, collecting vinyl records, and classic TV shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard. We'd love to find someone who shares some of these interests or is happy to support him in enjoying them.

The role

- Encourage positive interactions and help him make safe, informed choices.

- Build a trusting, consistent and supportive relationship while promoting his wellbeing.

About Ruben's needs

Ruben has misophonia, a condition where certain sounds can trigger a very strong emotional response. His main trigger is coughing. We're looking for someone who is calm, patient and understanding. Any previous knowledge or experience of misophonia would be a real advantage, although training and guidance can be provided.

We're looking for someone who is:

✔ Reliable, trustworthy and consistent.

✔ Confident encouraging independence while maintaining safety.

If you think you'd be a good fit, or would like to know more, please send me a private message. I'd really appreciate it if you could share this post with anyone who may be interested.

Thank you! 😊
