This role may include working during the children's lunchtime period and is for 27 hours a week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, calm, and dedicated individual to support a focus pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development, working closely with teachers and support staff across the school.

The successful candidate will:

Use a sound understanding of the curriculum to improve outcomes for children through the delivery of targeted, time-limited interventions. Apply Trauma Perceptive Practice principles (training will be provided) to foster positive relationships and support pupil wellbeing. Recognise and respond effectively to children's mental health needs, including the use of repair and restore approaches. Work closely with class teachers and other Learning Support Assistants to ensure support provision is effective and responsive. Maintain accurate and appropriate records. Adhere to the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and child protection policies. Demonstrate the ability to work independently using initiative, as well as follow guidance and direction. Be flexible and adaptable in responding to individual pupil needs. Understand that behaviour is a form of communication. Possess excellent communication skills, together with a positive outlook and sense of humour. Have a good standard of English and Mathematics. Have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
