1st Fix Carpenters – Mayfair

UKR Group is looking for 2x experienced 1st Fix Carpenters to start ASAP in a job in Mayfair, West London.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out 1st fix carpentry works on construction sites, including:
  • Stud walling, joists, roof structures, door linings, and window frames.
  • Fitting staircases, floors, and partitioning.
  • Installing temporary supports and frameworks as required.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Ensure all works are completed accurately, safely, and to a high standard.
  • Work effectively with other tradespeople to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Adhere to all site health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and first fix practices.
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and building plans.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
Requirements:
  • BLUE CSCS card
  • Proven experience as a 1st Fix Carpenter within the construction industry.
  • Own tools and PPE
  • Proof of right to work in UK
  • Must have 2 check able references
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Respectful
  • A good team player

Experience:

  • 2nd Fix Carpenter: 5+ year (required)
