Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Accounting Student is responsible to complete accounting project work as assigned, including the following:
- Assist with system input including journal entries and accounts payable vouchers.
- Assist with account reconciliations, spreadsheet development and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Responsible for scanning/filing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Hours of operation are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.
Qualifications, Competencies
- MUST BE ENROLLED IN AND RETURNING TO FULL-TIME POST SECONDARY STUDIES IN FALL OF 2026 – Verification will be required
- Preference given to university or college students currently studying accounting/business or a related program.
- Must demonstrate corporate values of Belonging, Collaboration, Accountability, and Innovation.
Skills, Abilities, Work Demands
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of financial management systems.
- MS Excel and Word proficiency at the intermediate level.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check at candidate’s own expense.
