The team works collaboratively to support clients while maintaining rigorous standards in documentation and compliance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Description:</strong> <strong>Ad Hoc Legal Aid Costs Draftsperson (Self-Employed/Freelance)</strong></p><p>We are a busy solicitors' firm based in Hounslow looking to build a relationship with an experienced Legal<strong> </strong>Aid Costs Draftsperson who can provide support on an <strong>ad hoc, as-needed basis.</strong></p><p>This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is qualified and experienced in Legal Aid costs drafting and is looking to undertake flexible work around other commitments. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who may have recently retired, are between roles, or are looking to supplement their income.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The role will involve:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Preparing and drafting Legal Aid bills.</li><li>Assisting with Legal Aid billing and costs claims.</li><li>Reviewing files and ensuring claims are accurate and compliant.</li><li>Providing practical advice on Legal Aid costs where required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What we're looking for:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Proven experience in Legal Aid costs drafting and billing.</li><li>A strong understanding of Legal Aid Agency requirements and procedures.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail.</li><li>The ability to work independently and efficiently.</li><li>Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>We would prefer someone who is <strong>local to Hounslow or the surrounding areas,</strong> as we would like them to attend our office when required to review files and work alongside our team.</p><p><br></p><p>This is <strong>not a permanent position. </strong>Work will be offered on an ad hoc basis, with payment made for work undertaken or by agreement for time spent.
