Administrator / Receptionist GP Practice

Job summary

We are seeking an Administrator to join our practice of 9200+ patients.

37.5 hours per week and must be available for afternoon shifts. This is a part remote working role.

Administrators work is between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will need to be hard-working, flexible and enthusiastic. We are looking for a capable individual who is able to multi-task and work well under pressure. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment independently, accurately and reliably.

Applicant MUST have Emis Web software experience.

You must have your covid vaccines to join as a member of the practice.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
  • Managing ereferrals and eRS worklist
  • Managing appointments, meetings, diaries, and correspondence, including preparing documents and taking minutes where required.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic databases while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally and acting as a first point of contact for patients, staff, and external organisations.
  • Processing referrals, filing documents, and supporting the coordination of clinical and administrative activities.
  • Dealing with patient registrations on emis.
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure an efficient, high-quality service for patients.
  • EMIS & eRS experience is essential.

    We are a well-established training practice in a purpose built (newly refurbished) premises, located on the Haringey Green lanes.

    The practice's aim is to provide our patients with an excellent standard of patient-centered care, with clinicians and patients jointly involved in all aspects of planning and delivering care to meet patients' health and well-being needs.

    You will work with colleagues including a team of GPs, practice Nurse, Healthcare Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist, Physician Associate & MSK practitioner, administrative staff and a wide variety of other health professionals.

    The practice is working in a hybrid model which allows the flexibility of working from home.

    There is free parking available on site.

    The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and reception support within a busy GP practice and play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
