COE acquisition has the exciting goal to deliver scalable and impactful technology enhancements across international markets. This new role would be a key part of the opportunity, working across the Lead 5 markets (Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia & the UK) together with the next 4 markets with incremental investment to increase acquisition.

Requiring someone with a supreme focus on collaboration, while being output orientated. Experience working with EDDS, technology, markets and central teams, with a focus on the application experience for customers and small businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and implementation of innovative strategies to attract Prospective Cardmembers and improve the efficiency of onboarding experience
  • Contribute insights on how we can prioritise IIS portfolio objectives through lower funnel investments
  • Track scalable opportunities to drive continued Card acquisition, billings and revenue growth
  • Build strong relationships with local & central colleagues to track and deliver on the roadmap for acquisition capabilities
  • Partnering effectively with other BUs (including Analytics, Finance, Risk, EDDS and New Accounts) to ensure alignment and deliver features to improve lower funnel decisioning efficiency
  • Maintaining market awareness of both competitors experiences and technological advances in key friction points in onboarding (e.g., digital KYC, AML, etc)

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of American Express Cards products, services, and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry
  • Strong Marketing experience (4+ years), including digital capability and/or agile development & journey optimisation experience
  • Understanding of digital experiences, New Accounts processes, UW and decisioning protocols
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, across geographies
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and confidence in presenting to senior leaders
  • Understanding of core metrics through our core Prospect conversion journeys and ability to use core data sets and tools to analyse trends
  • Basic P&L acumen to understand and assess business investment decisions and make recommendations on technical investments

Preferred Skills

  • Safe agile familiarity. Certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with key digital measurement tools- Adobe, nVision, & Content Square and operational tools- JIRA, RALLY, etc.
  • Familiarity with different platforms in Amex – EAPP, Go2, Loyalty, RDE2, etc.
  • Familiarity of working with digital products and tech delivery teams (incl. understanding of Product Delivery Roadmap)
  • Curiosity for digital trends and experiences, including interest in digital identification tools, companies, etc.
  • Experience in forecasting, modelling or assessing digital capabilities and tools
  • Knowledge of AXP tech investment (BID) process, or experience working with LPM
