Role Description the IT Asset Lifecycle Manager works as part of a dedicated team on a contract providing Sellafield Ltd with IT Maintenance. They are responsible for managing the asset lifecycle for the individual components that make up the systems that we manage, which requires
  • Ensuring accurate asset records are maintained within the CMDB and other asset management systems
  • Ensuring documentation relating to the configuration of the system is kept accurate
  • Working with the customer and technical resources to ensure that the right level of support is in place for each device, and that support contracts and licenses are renewed on time
  • Working with the customer and technical resources to ensure asset's obsolescence is managed, including identifying and communicating the risk from an asset going obsolete
To do this, the candidate will need to
  • Define and enforce asset management policies, standards, and procedures
  • Carry out regular audits to ensure the configuration remains accurate
  • Work with various stakeholders to understand customer requirements and ensure support contracts/licensing/options to address obsolescence reflect these
  • Working as part of a larger service team to ensure SLAs are met and risks are raised and mitigated where possible
  • Drive improvements in asset lifecycle processes using Lean and ITIL principles
There is a requirement to work onsite on Sellafield site at least once a month to be able to update documentation and carry out audits Other Requirements Experience of Asset Management

Experience working with CMDB (preferably ServiceNow)
