The Opportunity Explore Manufacturing are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team at the Laing O'Rourke Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction, Europe's largest and most advanced pre-assembly manufacturing facility.

What will the Assistant Quantity Surveyor role look like?

  • All Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, valuation and agreement of work sections.
  • Assist with preparation of interim applications for payment and internal valuations.
  • Measurement and agreement of simple subcontractors' accounts.
  • Assisting in preparation of loss and expense submissions.
  • Preparation and agreement of records
  • Assisting with the preparation of final account, including pricing
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly contract review reports
  • Progress towards and achieve professional status
  • Keep your manager fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise and which could affect the business/project
What skills & experience are we looking for?
  • Strong negotiation, financial control, and risk management skills.
  • A team player who takes initiative and thrives under pressure.
  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying)
  • Desire to learn the risk and opportunity process both internal and with our client.
  • A drive to learn and grow to the next grade.
