Apply remote type Hybrid time type Part time posted on Posted 6 Days Ago job requisition id 10106277. We are seeking an experienced Property Surveyor to join our busy team on a zero hours contract.


The successful candidate will be part of an established Property team, delivering services to a number of public sector clients nationally, and take a positive approach to the delivery of our client’s objectives, regeneration objectives and key strategic projects and assist with the delivery of Capita’s income targets. This job will also provide you with an opportunity to contribute to establishing a leading consultancy linking with Capita’s other Property businesses operating nationally.


This is a hybrid role, with travel to our offices in Manchester 2-3 times per week.

Job Description:

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Specialist Development Consultancy
  • Financial Viability Appraisals
  • Delivery of statutory Asset Valuations for Accounting purposes.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary projects and providing strategic property advice on high level Regeneration and Strategy projects.
  • Provide a professional property service in relation to the management, acquisition and disposal of property and property related interests to the core client and additional external clients.
  • Maximising the performance of the Client’s core operational and Non-operational portfolios.
  • Undertaking negotiations with public and private sector owners and developers.
  • Providing Landlord and Tenant advice on a range of property types.
  • Undertaking land and property valuations and disposals for a wide range of purposes.

What we\'re looking for:

  • Professional qualifications – a degree in a property or related discipline, and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Able to present written and verbal reports to clients.
  • Experience of working in a property office environment.
  • Experience of delivering strategic land disposals and high profile regeneration projects.
  • Knowledge of the CPO process.
  • Knowledge of Development and Viability appraisals.
  • Experience of the key issues and processes relating to property management and valuation.
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills, & able to meet deadlines.
  • Worked on Development Appraisal, Financial Viability Appraisal, Residual Land Value assignments.
  • Ability to survey land and property and to produce accurate plans.
  • Computer literate with an understanding of valuation, GIS and asset management databases where appropriate.
  • Confidence in client-facing situations, able to influence and convince, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Eligible for the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
  • Must possess a full driving licence.
