Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also ensuring that the café remains a welcoming space for all patrons. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy interacting with customers, this position is perfect for you.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
  • Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders.
  • Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
  • A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and colleagues alike.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred but can be learned on the job.
  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.
