Position: Bodyshop Controller

Location: East of England Showground, Peterborough (PE2 6XE)

Work Patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-16:00)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • To process and support with the operational workflow which will result in a safe and efficient bodyshop operation for Finished Vehicle Solutions
  • Lead and manage all bodyshop operations, including prep, paint, panel, and SMART repair activities
  • Monitor and manage service quality, ensuring compliance with DHL standards, customer requirements, and transport regulations
  • Manage workflow, prioritisation, and turnaround times to meet operational targets
  • Oversee warranty procedures and ensure full compliance with OEM requirements
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (workshop, parts, warranty, operations)
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development conversations
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, transport legislation, and company procedures

  • Previous experience in an automotive or bodyshop repair environment, with a strong understanding of repair methods and processes is essential
  • Experience in roles such as Workshop Controller, Transport Supervisor, Operations Manager (supervisory or leadership roles), or similar is highly desirable
  • Relevant qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology, Body Repair, Paint, or a similar discipline (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent) would be desirable
  • Good stakeholder management and customer management skills
  • Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, changing environment with the ability to meet operational demands, service level agreements, and standard operating procedures while consistently delivering compliant, high-quality work
  • Good understanding of parts ordering processes and stock control
  • Full driving license is essential
