About Us

Simply Heavenly Foods is an established food and drink business with over 18 years of experience supplying leading brands and retailers across the UK. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team and take ownership of our day-to-day financial administration.

This is a fully office-based role at our Romford headquarters. We are not considering remote, hybrid or freelance applicants.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the company's bookkeeping functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks
  • Sales and purchase ledger management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing supplier invoices and payments
  • Raising customer invoices
  • Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
  • VAT preparation and reconciliation
  • Managing petty cash and company expenses
  • Payroll support (if experienced)
  • Preparing financial reports for management and accountants
  • General finance administration

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience using QuickBooks
  • At least 3 years' bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Excellent communication skills

This is an office-based position in Romford.
