Digital Silk is seeking Brand Strategy Director to:

  • Be hands on with creating brand strategies and style guides for various B2B and B2C client projects.
  • Help lead the brand strategy team and the creative design teams by providing feedback and ensuring all deliverables are to high standards for clients
  • Develop, retain and grow a high-performing branding team characterized by creativity, strategic thinking, teamwork and operational efficiency.
  • Consistently deliver innovative and impactful brand solutions that grow brands online, generate results for clients and support Digital Silk’s reputation in the marketplace.

This is for a full-time, remote-work-at-home position as our headquarters are in the US. We do require team members to work 8am to 5pm EST (with breaks) as our clients are in the US.

Brand Director Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of brand strategists and brand designers, fostering collaboration, creativity, professional growth, and accountability within the agency’s organization.
  • Oversee the development of cutting-edge branding strategies, visual identities and brand guidelines. Ensure alignment with client objectives, trends and research and agency standards, to deliver creative with excellence.
  • Set the tone for team culture and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., digital strategists, client partners, marketing, design, project management) to integrate the brand vision seamlessly into website messaging and design and marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize AI as a tool (not a solution) to streamline data research, work and process.
  • Support Business Development by actively participating in project scoping calls, developing creative recommendations and presenting proposals with enthusiasm.
  • Manage the full cycle of brand projects, from client briefing and ideation to execution and delivery, ensuring timely completion within established budgets.
  • Act as the senior team liaison for branding projects, overseeing the development of the team’s work, monitoring for quality and best practice, providing regular direction and maintaining client relationships effectively.
  • Monitor branding project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and resource optimization.

Branding Director Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of branding experience, including significant leadership roles within an agency or relevant industry such as consumer-packaged goods.
  • Ability to be hands on with creating strategies and brand design elements
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams consisting of both brand strategists and designers. Specialization in marketing a plus.
  • Proven expertise in the full brand development processes, including strategy, positioning, research, creative development, and execution.
  • Exceptional understanding of digital branding landscapes and proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and clients.
  • Team-first, solution-oriented mindset, able to quickly adapt in a changing business landscape.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design or related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
