As the Business Unit Commissioning Lead for Data Centres, you will be accountable for the delivery of MEP services on projects, ensuring outcomes meet time, budget, safety, and quality requirements. You will lead high-quality, time-efficient, and profitable delivery while providing leadership and accountability for compliance, governance, assurance, and management of technical and construction teams. Your responsibilities include leading the MEP team with clear direction and guidance, managing programme, health, safety & wellbeing, quality, and commissioning. You will build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and internal stakeholders. You will also lead MEP involvement in tendering, procurement strategies, contract reviews, budget preparation, value engineering, and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. You will define and execute strategic project plans aligned with Mace’s operating framework and priorities such as Prefabrication (C2P), Commissioning, and Safety. Overseeing design reviews for compliance, coordination, embodied carbon, and operational energy aligned to RIBA and BSRIA frameworks will be key. Additionally, you will implement commissioning strategies in line with Mace standards, oversee productivity assessments using digital technologies, support project close-out activities, and manage risk identification and mitigation. You will lead large teams of senior direct reports, driving continuous improvement, performance management, technical development, and coaching. Working collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.
