Café Server

We are looking of a new member to join our small team running the in-house cafe/bar, Me&Nu, at Start-Yard in Birkenhead.

The role will involve the day to day running of the cafe, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of everything we do. The successful candidate will be required to take orders, prepare and serve refreshments including hot and cold food through breakfast and lunch. Excellent customer service is expected along with high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, maintaining a clean environment for visitors and tenants to enjoy.

Whilst you may not have commercial kitchen experience, if you have enthusiasm to learn, an appreciation of presentation, we can teach the rest along with the required food allergen and health and safety policies and regulations .

The candidate will be a key holder responsible for opening/closing the building on shifts. Other aspects of the job include stock control, managing orders and deliveries, cashing up and monitoring daily sales. Involvement in regular social media posts is expected.

As a first point of contact at Start-Yard we are looking for somebody with a positive, enthusiastic personality who will enjoy working in a relaxed friendly atmosphere, engage with tenants and visitors alike to enhance the experience of the patrons and drive business.

This role would suit a school/college leaver, or a person taking a year out. The role is Monday to Friday, daytime shifts.

Requirements

Bar/cafe/coffee experience prefered.

Food safety level 2 certificate prefered.

Baking skills prefered.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.00-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
