Carhartt WIP Coffee Barista 32 hrs (m/f/x)

Carhartt WIP is part of the WIP Trading AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it develops its own collections based on workwear originals.

Carhartt Work In Progress aims to continuously progress and evolve, without ever losing sight of its origins. Over the course of the past two decades, our business has developed organically, along with its customers, the culture that surrounds the brand, and its employees who have helped shape what Carhartt WIP is today.

For our coffee corner in London (Kings Cross), we are looking for you as Barista (m/f/x).

Reporting to the Coffee Manager and working with a small team of experienced Barista’s, you will work in our coffee shop to deliver outstanding coffee and great service. In this role, you’ll contribute to a passionate barista team, champion outstanding coffee quality, and work in an environment where customers feel energised and part of the wider Carhartt WIP Community.
This is a hands-on role for someone with Barista Experience who wants to join a dynamic team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Champion specialty coffee excellence, ensuring every drink served meets the highest quality standards. 

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel part of the Carhartt WIP community. 

  • Engage with customers, building relationships that turn first-time visitors into regulars. 

  • Contribute to daily operations including opening, closing, and smooth service flow during busy periods. 

  • Help ensure the coffee shop environment reflects the Carhartt WIP aesthetic and brand values. 

  • Support in-store activations, community events, and collaborations that bring the space to life. 

  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are consistently met. 

  • Maintain coffee equipment and ensure the bar area is always clean, organised and operating efficiently.

  • An enthusiastic team member who collaborates with teams to deliver exceptional service, with demonstrable service experience. 

  • Passionate about creating meaningful customer connections and memorable experiences. 

  • Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. 

  • Deep appreciation for specialty coffee and commitment to quality. 

  • Strong barista knowledge including espresso preparation, milk texturing, and workflow efficiency
