Overview

Colchester City Council is a local government authority delivering high-quality and accessible services to residents, visitors and businesses across Colchester. Leisure World\'s Sport & Leisure service operates several facilities, including a purpose-built Sports Park, 3G Rugby Pitches, a 1-mile cycle track, multi-function sports halls, swimming programme, Aqua Springs Day Wellness Spa, and a state-of-the-art Technogym Wellness fitness facility with a focus on delivering over 100 live class timetables each week.

The Council is seeking casual Group Exercise Instructors to provide an outstanding end user experience, from inspiring instruction and coaching to offering sound advice to customers, ensuring the highest levels of safety and satisfaction are achieved. You will play a key role in delivering our wider aim of making Colchester a happier and healthier community.

Role

As an essential member of the Leisure World team, you will provide an engaging and motivating environment delivering our Group Exercise programme for all abilities to help meet health and fitness goals, driving higher class attendance and supporting membership growth and retention. We are currently recruiting for a variety of programmes including Les Mills (e.g., BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyBalance), Group Cycling, HIIT, Aqua, Yoga & Pilates and Dance classes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an engaging and motivating environment delivering the Group Exercise programme for all abilities to help meet health and fitness goals, driving higher class attendance and supporting membership growth and retention.

Qualifications

  • CIMSPA Fitness / Exercise to Music Level 2 qualification or equivalent or relevant qualification for your chosen discipline.
  • Ideally experience in delivering classes in a comparable role with strong customer engagement and good communication skills.
  • Genuine passion for Health and Wellness and providing every member an outstanding class experience.
