Class 2 HGV Driver – Multi-Drop Retail Deliveries

Location: Birmingham

Pay Rate: £16.11 per hour

Job Type: Ongoing / Temp to Perm

We are looking for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy logistics operation based in Birmingham, delivering palletised stock to high-street retail stores across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for regular, ongoing work, paid breaks, and the chance to become permanent.

The Role: You will be driving 16-pallet curtain-sided vehicles, equipped with tail lifts and manual pump trucks, completing approximately 10–12 store deliveries per day within a radius of around 150 miles from the Birmingham depot.

This is a hands-on delivery role, so you will need to be comfortable getting out of the cab and assisting customers with their deliveries.

Your duties will include:

Completing approximately 10–12 multi-drop deliveries per day.

Delivering palletised stock to high-street retail stores.

Operating the vehicle's tail lift and manual pump truck.

Assisting store staff with moving stock from the pallets.

Collecting and returning empty pallets to the depot.

Completing delivery paperwork and digital delivery records.

Carrying out daily vehicle checks.

Following all health & safety and company procedures.

Providing professional customer service at every delivery.Working Hours: Typical start times are:

Monday: 05:30

Tuesday–Thursday: 07:30

Friday: 08:00

Friday shifts will generally focus on local deliveries and mopping up outstanding work.

Breaks are paid, meaning you are paid from the start of your shift to the end.

A valid Class 2 (C) licence

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations

Previous multi-drop experience

Experience delivering palletised goods

Experience using tail lifts and manual pump trucks

Experience delivering into retail stores/high-street locations is highly desirable

Excellent customer service skills

A professional attitude and good timekeeping

No more than 6 penalty points (some endorsements may not be accepted)You must be comfortable with the physical side of the role, including moving pallets and assisting stores with their deliveries.

First Shift: Before your first shift, you'll receive an induction covering the digital delivery system, Safe Systems of Work, tail lift operation and a brief tachograph test.
