Clinical Transcriptionist - Dermatology

Overview

Working within Dermatology Services you will provide a comprehensive transcriptionist/secretarial and administrative service to the clinical team. You will be an important part of the team, working in a rewarding environment. This role will be based at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre which is located in Radcliffe.

A leading Foundation Trust, confirmed as being the best performing hospital in the North West and the second Trust nationally to receive a top accreditation for patient safety and quality. This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork as you will need to work with others to meet the patients’ needs.

This is a secondment for 12 months and will require your current manager’s approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive transcriptionist/secretarial and administrative service to the clinical team. • Manage a variety of administrative tasks and prioritise them to meet strict timescales. • Implement and manage systems for office and team workload, ensuring work is completed efficiently. • Administer support to medical secretaries, the medical team and consultants, handling audio‑typing tasks and exercising judgement and initiative. • Contribute to improving patient services and ensuring the department continues to perform well in line with national patient measures.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative. • Proven organisational skills and a strong commitment to personal and professional development. • High competence in audio‑typing and experience handling medical transcription. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
