Job Type: Part-Time (Term Time Only)About the Role
Docode is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Coding & Minecraft Teacher to deliver after-school clubs in primary schools across Wimbledon and Morden.You'll teach primary-aged children using our structured curriculum, delivering engaging sessions in coding, game development and Minecraft Education. All lesson plans, resources and training are provided, allowing you to focus on delivering fun, high-quality lessons that inspire children through technology.
This role would suit a teacher, tutor, graduate, computing student or anyone with experience working with children and a passion for technology.
Working Pattern
We currently have two possible weekly schedules available.Option 1
Monday – Willington Prep, Wimbledon- 16:00–17:00 – Year 3–6 Code Club
- 15:30–16:00 – Year 1–2 Code Club
- 16:00–17:00 – Year 3–6 Minecraft Club
- 15:00–16:00 – Year 3–6 Minecraft Club
- 15:30–16:30 – Year 1–2 Code Club
- 15:30–16:30 – Year 3–6 Code Club
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging coding and Minecraft lessons using Docode's structured curriculum.
- Inspire children through creative technology, coding and game design.
- Support pupils of different ages and abilities.
- Manage behaviour confidently and positively.
- Safely register and dismiss pupils in accordance with school procedures.
- Represent Docode professionally within our partner schools.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and enjoys working with children.
- Confident leading groups independently.
- Interested in coding, computing or technology.
- Familiar with Scratch and/or Minecraft Education (desirable but not essential).
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- An excellent communicator with strong classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS certificate holder (or willing to obtain one).
- £30 per hour
