Conservation & Energy Management Program Specialist (Conservation Assistance)

Location Central London with some travel within the geographic area of coverage in British Columbia. Hours Full-Time Temporary - Approx. 18 months duration with flexible work options allowing up to 85 days per year working from an approved flex location in British Columbia, subject to business needs. Salary $41.69 to $49.03 per hour About the Role FortisBC, the province’s largest energy provider, is seeking a Program Specialist to join the Conservation and Energy Management department focusing on the Conservation Assistance program. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of programs that assist income-qualified customers, charities, and non-profit housing providers in reducing their energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. You will use your customer-centric approach to simplify customer experiences and leverage insights to improve program reach and satisfaction. Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as BC Hydro, BC Non-profit Housing Association, BC Housing, and the Ministry of Energy Mines and Low Carbon Innovation. You will collaborate with various FortisBC departments including Communications, Energy Solutions, and Legal to identify new technologies and program eligibility guidelines that maximize participation and energy savings while minimizing costs. You will lead the development and implementation of new or revised programs from concept through to execution, prepare business cases including cost-effectiveness analysis, and oversee ongoing administration tasks such as application reviews, invoice processing, budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting. Additionally, you will support regulatory activities for the BC Utilities Commission.
