Role

As a consumer commerce journalist/content creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging shopping and consumer-focused content for a leading digital publisher's website and social media channels.

You will be a talented consumer content specialist who is equally comfortable writing about sales events, discounts, and trending products, as well as creating short-form video content for social platforms that drives audience engagement and commercial performance.

You will bring creative ideas for showcasing consumer savings, promotions, and product recommendations, supported by strong industry knowledge and professional contacts within the retail, consumer, or lifestyle sectors.

The successful candidate will have proven practical experience, either within a digital publishing environment or through building and engaging an audience on social media platforms.

You will be able to use search trends, audience insights, and commercial performance data to create engaging articles and videos that resonate with readers and viewers. A strong understanding of audience acquisition channels, including search, discovery platforms, social media, and affiliate marketing, is essential.

You will also contribute to broader content monetisation initiatives and collaborate with editorial, commercial, and social teams as required.


Main Responsibilities

  • Write daily consumer-focused and deals-led content informed by search trends and commercial data.
  • Create engaging video content for websites and social media platforms, guided by audience trends and performance insights.
  • Collaborate with commercial, partnership, and social teams to develop authentic affiliate and commerce content.
  • Use analytics and audience data to inform content creation and optimisation.
  • Create, manage, and quality-check affiliate links and other commercial content elements when required.
