CUSTOMER CARE ASSISTANT - Weekday and Weekend Hours

This role is for applicants who have flexibility and the ability to work morning, afternoon and evening shifts during the week (for example 9.30pm to 1.30pm and/or 2.30pm to 8.30pm), with the inclusion of some weekend hours (typically two or three weekend days per month).

FirstSight is a popular pregnancy ultrasound and screening clinic based in Southampton, Hampshire. We are seeking a skilled and personable Customer Care Assistant to join our team. This is a customer-facing reception and administrative role, supporting both local families and our Obstetric Sonographers throughout their time with us.

You will be delivering a warm, compassionate and welcoming service for local families, helping to ensure they have an excellent experience from the moment they arrive until they leave the clinic.

Typical hours are approximately 10 hours per week (6-7 hours when just working a weekday; 14-15 when working a weekend day also), although this may vary depending on clinic demand and staff availability. There is scope for a medium-term increase in hours for the successful applicant.

Requirements for Customer Care Assistant

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team as well as independently
  • Reliability, punctuality and the ability to honour agreed shifts are essential
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and support people during emotional or challenging situations
  • Previous customer service, reception, hospitality, healthcare or administrative experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

You will support local families during some of life's most exciting moments, but also when they are feeling anxious, worried or receiving unexpected news. Compassion, emotional maturity and professionalism are therefore essential.

All successful candidates will be subject to a DBS Check along with other relevant employment checks.
