Deputy Sales & Ticketing Manager

Southwark Playhouse is looking for a Deputy Sales & Ticketing Manager to join our team, working across both Southwark Playhouse Borough and Southwark Playhouse Elephant. Working alongside the Sales & Ticketing Manager, you will have responsibility for Box Office management, including managing the Box Office & Welcome team. You will ensure the best customer service possible is always provided, manage the successful on-sales of each production, assist Visiting Companies with Box Office requests and ensure accurate sales reporting. You will work closely with the Marketing Department. You will assist the Sales & Ticketing Manager with accessible performance arrangements, including managing the in-house captioned performances.

Hours: 40 per week

Salary: £33,075 per annum

Annual Leave: 30 days in the first year, pro rata, including bank holidays, increasing with length of service thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Box Office management, including managing the Box Office & Welcome team
  • Ensure the best customer service possible is always provided

Job Requirements

  • At least one years' experience working in a similar role in an arts or ticketing organisation.
  • An analytical, commercial and strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture as well as managing the day to day.
  • A professional and courteous attitude, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and stakeholders, with tact and discretion.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and work effectively across a number of campaigns and tasks.
  • Previous experience of working with Visiting Companies.
  • Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Hard working with an ability to work supportively as part of a small organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and admin skills.
  • Strong IT skills including advanced knowledge of Excel.
