You’ll also play an important role in developing client relationships, originating new opportunities and coaching the next generation of talent within the team.<br><br><strong>The types of projects you’ll contribute to may include<br><br></strong><ul><li>Expansion into new markets</li><li>Pre-transaction reorganisations and post-transaction integrations</li><li>Organisational structure rationalisation</li><li>Business model redesign</li><li>Managing tax risk arising from international developments, including BEPS and ATAD</li><li>Engagement and negotiation with tax authorities in the UK and internationally</li><li>Buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence and structuring</li><li>Optimisation of capital and financing structures</li><li>Tax modelling<br><br></li></ul><strong>Your Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong>As a Tax Director, you’ll combine technical expertise, commercial judgement and relationship management to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients. You’ll be responsible for:<br><br><ul><li>Building trusted client relationships, delivering exceptional service and becoming a valued adviser to senior stakeholders</li><li>Leading the successful delivery of complex tax projects, ensuring technical excellence alongside practical, commercially focused advice</li><li>Identifying and developing new opportunities, drawing on your experience, market awareness and the wider knowledge of EY</li><li>Contributing to proposals and business development, helping to grow our Financial Services tax offering</li><li>Building strong internal and external networks to create opportunities for collaboration and growth</li><li>Leading and developing junior colleagues, providing coaching, delegation and meaningful on-the-job development<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills And Attributes For Success<br><br></strong>We’re looking for someone who can bring strong technical capability together with commercial awareness and a genuine interest in clients and people.<br><br>You’ll be:<br><br><ul><li>Client-focused, strategic and commercially aware</li><li>A confident communicator, with strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Comfortable building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders</li><li>Collaborative, motivated and committed to delivering as part of a high-performing team</li><li>Adaptable and enthusiastic, with the ability to navigate a varied portfolio of work</li><li>Committed to coaching and developing more junior colleagues<br><br></li></ul><strong>Ideally, you’ll also have<br><br></strong><ul><li>Significant experience as a tax practitioner, including strong reviewing skills and expertise in international tax</li><li>Experience working with Financial Services clients</li><li>A relevant professional qualification such as ATT, ACA, CA or CTA, or equivalent breadth of technical knowledge, for example through a legal qualification<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We Offer You<br><br></strong>At EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
