What is the role?

  • You will be driving clinicians to and from patient home visits ensuring appointment slots are met, and patients receive communication if there are any delays.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the car is ready for your shift, loading essential supplies, conducting internal and external checks for damage and cleanliness.
  • You will work on reception at our bases, using the system to ‘arrive’ patients, print letters, record patient interactions and other admin tasks and stock control.
  • Supporting patients / carers and clinical staff when needed such as acting as chaperone or assisting when needed with home visits.
  • Working to a range of protocols and procedures and completing mandatory training designed to support you in your role and adhere to health, safety and governance requirements

This service is delivered by Suffolk GP Federation - we are a not-for-profit, community interest company and our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk, including support with working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver other NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound and ADHD.

Is it for me?

We will work alongside successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular contact and support. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need;
