What does our Digital
and Data Advisory team do?
The pace of digital
change is immense and accelerating. Businesses are increasingly focused on the
need to have systems that are agile, flexible, scalable, and accessible
remotely. The impact of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence,
machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT) and social media is providing new
opportunities. Businesses need better management information, both historic to
measure performance as well as predictive analytics to model market changes.
Our focus is
on advising our clients on how to navigate the path of available technologies,
to help them deliver real improvements with a practical and pragmatic approach
to digital projects. We also understand that technology is not a silver bullet,
that our clients need to embrace the wider business, cultural and people
changes that will allow them to adopt new ways of working.
RSM’s Digital and
Data Advisory practice, as part our broader Business Transformation client services,
is one of the fastest growing parts of our business providing the following
services:
IT and digital strategy
Data analytics and insights
Cloud application architecture and selection
Technology enabled business transformation
We work collaboratively with our clients and are guided by good practice
principles, and the latest technologies, but never constrained by them. At our
core we are critical-thinkers, problem-solvers and visionaries.
What can you
expect?
RSM’s early digital careers programme offers a range of
informal and formal development opportunities. From day one, you will join with trainees across
the firm to receive core training in professional and soft skills. Alongside
this you will benefit from specific technology skills training focussed on our digital
and data services, for example Agile project delivery, as well as learning how
to use our core tools, including Alteryx and Power BI. We will also support
business related qualifications where this is relevant and beneficial to your
role.
Following your
basic enablement, you’ll join colleagues in delivering live client engagements.
No two journeys will be the same, as each client experience is different, but
you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced members of the team and
understand how digital and data projects are delivered. This hands-on
experience is invaluable as you take the next steps in your career.
What we look for
We’re on the lookout for students with a passion for
digital and a ‘can-do’ attitude who are prepared to work hard and take on high
levels of responsibility. We also look for team players who enjoy interacting
with others and are curious about how digital technology can generate real
benefit for businesses. As a digital advocate, you will be expected to share
your knowledge and insights with your colleagues and clients and help them
embrace the opportunities and challenges of the digital era.
You may be working on multiple projects at the same time,
so time management and organisational skills are key. Confidence with numbers
and business awareness is a must, but you’ll also need excellent communication
skills and be able to forge strong working relationships with people from all
backgrounds. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
If that sounds like you, we know you’ll enjoy being part of our team
