Do you want to play a vital role in supporting families and improving outcomes for children in Wandsworth?

As an Early Help Navigator in our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Service, you will be at the heart of our early help approach. You will be working with families and professionals to identify needs early and connect them to the right support. Your work will help prevent escalation, strengthen family resilience and ensure children thrive.

This is your opportunity to join a service that puts children and families first. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for every child in our borough.

About the role

As an Early Help Navigator, you will act as the first point of contact for early help referrals, providing advice and guidance to families and professionals. You will work collaboratively with schools, health services, and voluntary organisations to ensure families receive timely and effective support.

Your role will make a real difference by helping families access the right services at the right time, reducing the need for statutory intervention. Using a relational approach, balancing high support with high challenge, you will achieve positive change and empower parents and carers to build strong networks and manage their own needs. You will contribute to safeguarding by identifying risks and taking appropriate action in line with procedures.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working directly with children and families to provide support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and early help approaches.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with families and professionals across agencies.
  • Strong communication skills to engage families and record information using respectful language.
  • Relevant qualification in health, education, social care or the voluntary sector.

If you meet the above criteria and are passionate about making a positive impact on children and families, we encourage you to apply.
