About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and families? We’re looking for a dynamic and committed Early Help Targeted Youth Worker to join our Children’s, Families and Education division. You’ll play a vital role in delivering early intervention support to adolescents and their families, helping them stay safe, healthy, and engaged in education and community life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted, time-limited interventions to young people and families.
  • Use strength-based and solution-focused approaches to reduce risk and promote positive change.
  • Provide mentoring and practical support to help young people access services and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with social workers, youth justice, schools, and community partners.
  • Promote education, emotional wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Respond flexibly to family needs, including out-of-hours support.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working directly with children, young people, and families with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and legal frameworks.
  • Ability to assess risk, develop action plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions.
  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Youth Work, Social Work, Teaching).
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
