Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Mobile Development Productivity team makes building, testing, and releasing Stripe’s mobile applications and device-integrated software fast, reliable, and secure. The team owns the mobile development platform end to end, including development environments, simulators and emulators, continuous integration, automated testing, builds, and releases. We support engineers working across iOS, Android, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, mobile SDKs, and device-integrated software.

Our customers include engineers working on Stripe Dashboard Mobile, Link, Stripe’s mobile SDKs, and Terminal. We enable mobile engineers to use AI agents throughout the development process, including writing code, running tests, and validating changes across mobile platforms. Our work reduces manual release effort, improves test coverage, and makes mobile development faster and more reliable.

What you’ll do

You will lead the Mobile Development Productivity engineering team and set the technical strategy for the platform Stripe engineers use to build mobile applications and device-integrated software. You will work with engineers and leaders across mobile product and infrastructure teams to identify shared development challenges, align priorities, and translate a long-term technical vision into focused plans for your team.

You will grow and support a team that builds development environments, continuous integration systems, test infrastructure, and secure build and release workflows. You will also guide the team’s work to make AI agents effective participants in mobile development by giving them realistic environments, tools, and feedback for validating changes across mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and grow a team of engineers by hiring, coaching, mentoring, and creating opportunities for development
  • Define the team’s technical strategy, goals, and roadmap, translating organizational priorities and internal user needs into clear execution plans
  • Partner with mobile product teams, infrastructure teams, and technical leaders to identify shared development challenges and align stakeholders around reusable solutions
  • Collaborate with staff engineers on architecture and strategic technical decisions across development environments, continuous integration, automated testing, and secure build and release systems
  • Establish high standards for reliability, security, engineering craft, and operational rigor across the systems the team owns
  • Improve the experience of mobile engineers and AI agents by using measures of developer productivity, build and test performance, and release health to guide investments
  • Work effectively with geographically distributed colleagues to maintain alignment, visibility, and clear ownership across teams

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years of engineering management experience
  • Experience leading teams that build platforms, frameworks, infrastructure, or tools used by other engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy, guide architecture decisions, and translate ambiguous goals into a clear roadmap and execution plan
  • Proven success hiring, coaching, and developing engineers while fostering an inclusive, challenging, and supportive work environment
  • Ability to align and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority, communicate clearly across varied audiences, and coordinate difficult decisions and tradeoffs

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience managing a developer productivity, developer platform, mobile infrastructure, or internal tools team
  • Experience building or operating development environments, continuous integration systems, automated testing frameworks, or build and release infrastructure
  • Experience with iOS, Android, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, mobile SDKs, or device-integrated software
