Equicomms Call Handler

Equicomms are recruiting.

Due to company growth, we are looking for a new part time call handler to join our friendly team. This is a work from home role, where you will be supporting over 90 clinics out of hours, working alongside a team of experienced RVNS and supported by line managers.

The role will involve:

  • Taking clients details down precisely and efficiently
  • Dealing with often upset and stressed clients
  • Giving first aid advise when required
  • liaising with vets regarding visit times, call locations and taking payments
  • Using practice management systems to find clients record, debt status and previous history

This is a unique role where your clinical skills are used, without being in practice. This role has developed over the past 6 years, and we are excited to see it continue to grow.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, hardworking, able to learn independently and who can communicate well under pressure.

The hours we are looking for (as a minimum) are:

  • 1 x weekend shift a week (6hrs long)
  • Our current shifts are: 8am-2pm, 10am-4pm, 2pm-8pm, 4pm-10pm
  • Bank holidays shared equally between the team.
  • This is the minimum number of hours we would need (26hrs per month); there is often holiday cover and additional hours. We do also offer opportunity to cover the night shifts (alongside the night nurse) during lambing season (Mar-May)
