Experienced Barista - New Opening at London Victoria Station

We’re opening a brand-new Heidi bakery and coffee shop inside London Victoria Station this September, and we’re looking for an experienced Barista to join our opening team.

If you’re passionate about great coffee, take real pride in your craft and enjoy delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

☕ And we want to see your latte art!
When applying, please send us a couple of photos of your latte art alongside your CV. We’d love to see what you can do.

You’ll also be working with a brand-new Everysys coffee machine and equipment, so this is a great opportunity to be part of setting the coffee standards from day one at a completely new Heidi location.

Hello, we’re Heidi.

Heidi is a growing independent bakery and coffee-shop group with locations across London and the South East.

Our philosophy is simple: let the food and coffee do the talking.

Our bakery team makes everything from scratch, from French pastries and croissants to cakes, savouries and sandwiches. Alongside this, we take our coffee seriously — using excellent beans, quality equipment and proper training to ensure every drink is made and served to a consistently high standard.

Victoria Station will be one of our busiest locations, so we’re looking for an experienced barista who thrives under pressure, works quickly without compromising on quality and takes pride in delivering excellent coffee and service, every single time.

What you’ll be doing

As an experienced Barista, you’ll play an important role in setting the coffee and service standards at our new Victoria store.

You’ll:

  • Prepare and serve consistently excellent espresso-based coffee and other drinks.
  • Be confident using a commercial espresso machine and grinder.
  • Have a strong understanding of extraction, milk texture, temperature and presentation.
  • Create high-quality latte art and take pride in the presentation of every drink.
  • Work confidently and efficiently on the coffee machine during busy service.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across every drink.
  • Keep the coffee station clean, organised and fully stocked throughout service.
  • Work quickly and calmly during high-volume periods.
  • Deliver warm, confident and genuinely friendly customer service.
  • Build good knowledge of our bakery range and confidently talk customers through our products.
  • Operate the till and process orders accurately when required.
  • Work closely with the wider team to keep service flowing smoothly.
  • Follow Heidi’s food safety, hygiene and operating procedures.
  • Help maintain a positive, professional and energetic team environment.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is already confident behind a coffee machine and understands what it takes to deliver great coffee consistently in a busy environment.

You’ll ideally:

  • Have previous professional barista experience.
  • Be confident using a commercial espresso machine and grinder.
  • Be confident producing quality latte art.
  • Understand the importance of extraction, milk texture, temperature and presentation.
  • Be comfortable working at pace and handling high-volume service.
  • Have a genuine passion for coffee and hospitality.
  • Be naturally friendly, confident and engaging with customers.
  • Take pride in your work and have high personal standards.
  • Be reliable, punctual and well organised.
  • Keep your workspace clean and tidy without being asked.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and be willing to support wherever needed.
  • Have a flexible attitude and be comfortable working early mornings and weekends.
  • Be confident working in the fast-paced environment of a major London station.

We’re looking for experience, but just as importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude. You should care about what you serve, how you serve it and the experience our customers have at Heidi.

Full training on Heidi’s coffee, products and service standards will be provided before opening.

Availability

This is a full-time role, working on a rota.

Victoria Station is a seven-day-a-week location, so you’ll need to be flexible and available for a mixture of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Please make sure you can reliably travel to London Victoria Station, including for early morning shifts, before applying.

Benefits
