Field Technical Delivery Specialist – North

Job Description:

  • Your mission in this role is to make sure our installations are consistent, super straightforward for installers, and transition smoothly from 'ready to go' to fully live and running.
  • This is a hands-on, field-based role .
  • You won’t be chained to a desk.
  • Instead, you’ll spend plenty of time out on-site working alongside housing associations, third-party installers, suppliers, and our internal teams.
  • You’ll get to see how things actually work in the real world, help teams get it 'right first time,' and bring back practical site feedback to help us build better guides, training, and future plans.
  • Your main goal is keeping things running like clockwork.
  • You’ll support our installers by helping them get a clear grip on: The Blueprint: The approved Tenant Power design and kit requirements. The Process: The installation sequence and what we need to see to sign it off. The Finish Line: What’s required to get the data flowing and officially go live.

Requirements:

  • proven experience supporting or delivering domestic solar PV and battery storage installations and necessary qualifications
  • Practical experience with battery commissioning, inverter setup, export settings and monitoring platforms;
  • Relevant electrical background or qualification, with current BS 7671 / 18th Edition knowledge or competence;
  • Ability to read approved designs, schematics, Bills of Materials and platform-specific installation guidance;
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to turn site issues into clear feedback for design, training, data and delivery teams;
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK, including overnight stays where required
