Financial Accounts Manager (Temp-to-Perm), SW Central London, £40k-£50k

Role: Financial Accounts Manager

Location: South West Central London

Salary: Up to £50,000 gross per annum (DOE, Pro-rata)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
Start: ASAP

An established and growing private business is seeking an experienced Financial Accounts Manager to join the team on an initial temporary basis, with the strong intention of offering a permanent position following a successful period

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded accounts professional who enjoys a varied role encompassing bookkeeping, cash flow management, forecasting and financial reporting within a fast-paced business

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day accounts function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process invoices, payments, receipts and supplier accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform account reconciliations.
  • Manage the accounts inbox and respond promptly to financial queries.
  • Process employee expenses and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with the company's external accountants and assist with year-end accounts.
  • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor business liquidity.
  • Produce budgets, financial forecasts and management reports.
  • Support senior management with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with wider financial planning and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within an accounts or finance role.
  • Strong bookkeeping and accounts management experience.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and financial reports.
  • Proficient with accounting software (Xero experience advantageous).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
  • Experience within a construction or project-based business would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will be a detail-oriented, commercially aware Accounts Manager who enjoys taking ownership of the finance function and supporting a growing business. You will be comfortable joining initially on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a long-term permanent position
