Role Description: The Full-Time Teacher of English iGCSE & A Levels will plan and deliver high-quality, live online lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing schemes of work, setting and marking assignments, providing timely feedback, and supporting students’ progress toward iGCSE and A-Level examination success. The teacher will monitor student performance, maintain accurate records, participate in online parent/guardian meetings, and contribute to departmental meetings and ongoing curriculum development.

This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent availability during scheduled teaching hours, professional engagement in online learning platforms, and collaboration with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with proven experience delivering English iGCSE and A-Level content.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear online instruction and constructive feedback to diverse international learners.
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning, with the ability to design structured, engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons and assessments.
  • Experience in Training or mentoring students in exam techniques, critical thinking, and academic writing.
  • Relevant degree in English, Education, or a closely related field; recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS or international equivalent) preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching in a British curriculum school, ideally at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
  • Confidence using digital teaching tools, learning management systems, and video conferencing platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong organisational skills and a student-centred approach.
