German Transcription Expert

The Work

You will transcribe German audio and help prepare high-quality language data for AI systems. You will preserve the meaning, tone, and context of each recording while following project guidelines.

You will also review transcripts, add metadata, check quality, resolve language questions, and suggest improvements to transcription processes.

  • Listen to German audio and create accurate transcripts.
  • Review and edit transcripts for linguistic and style requirements.
  • Add speaker labels, timestamps, context cues, and other relevant metadata.
  • Check work for accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with project stakeholders to resolve unclear language.
  • Give feedback that can improve transcription guidelines and processes.

What It Pays And Takes

This is a part-time contractor role for an entry-level AI training project. No previous AI experience is required, but you should bring strong German language skills and relevant transcription or language experience.

  • Pay: $10 to $35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Schedule: 20 or more hours per week.
  • Language: Native-level German, including familiarity with regional dialects and variations.
  • Location: Open to applicants in the listed eligible countries.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in transcription, linguistics, or related language-focused work.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, close attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed guidelines.
  • Tools: Ability to use audio playback, transcription, and standard office software.
  • Helpful background: Familiarity with linguistic annotation and metadata practices.
