Gypsum helper

  • Material Handling & Preparation: Safely load, unload, transport, and stock gypsum boards, metal studs, channels, screws, and joint compounds to designated work areas on-site.
  • Site Preparation: Clear work zones, set up scaffolding or working platforms, and assist in measuring, marking, and cutting drywall boards and metal framing according to project layouts.
  • Installation Support: Hold materials in place, secure framing elements, and assist skilled technicians with the installation of drywall partitions, suspended ceilings, and wall linings.
  • Joint Treatment & Finishing: Assist with applying joint tape, joint compounds, and base coats, as well as sanding surfaces to achieve smooth, paint-ready finishes.
  • Tools & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all hand tools, power tools, and equipment (such as screw guns, laser levels, and mixers) are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored after use.
  • Site Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace by regularly clearing debris, scrap materials, and dust, and strictly follow all on-site safety regulations and PPE requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a construction helper, specifically within drywall, false ceiling, or interior fit-out projects, is preferred.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of construction tools and installation techniques.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from site supervisors and lead installers.

Pay: AED1,100.00 - AED1,200.00 per month
