Health & Safety Advisor

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing business in Darlington seeking a proactive and practical Health & Safety Advisor to join their supportive team on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical health and safety advice and support to a range of clients, both face-to-face and remotely
- Visit sites to identify risks, carry out audits and provide practical recommendations
- Prepare and review policies, risk assessments, method statements and other key documents
- Conduct audits and investigations, producing clear reports and action plans
- Keep up to date with legislation and communicate relevant changes to clients
- Support clients with accreditations such as CHAS and Safe Contractor
- Contribute to business development by proactively identifying opportunities to offer additional services
- Maintain client records in CRM systems and ensure proactive account management
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (applications without this cannot be considered)
- Minimum 3 years' recent and relevant Health & Safety experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident telephone manner
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Clean, full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Fire Certificate or a recognised fire safety qualification
- Understanding of ISO 45001 and experience delivering training or toolbox talks

Role Details:
- Location: Office based in Darlington, with regular travel across the North East and other areas of the UK
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 per annum
- Holiday: 31 days per year including bank holidays
