<strong>Fairmile Grange – An Allega Care Home, Christchurch<br><br></strong>Fairmile Grange is seeking warm, compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team at our beautiful care home in Christchurch.<br><br>This is a night-time role, including alternate weekends, offering flexible working patterns to support a healthy work-life balance.<br><br><strong>About The Role<br><br></strong>As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. Working alongside Senior Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses, you will provide practical, physical, emotional, and social support with dignity and respect.<br><br>You will help ensure each resident’s individual needs and preferences are met, while maintaining clear communication with families and healthcare professionals.<br><br>Whether you are experienced or new to care, we provide full training and ongoing development opportunities to support your career progression.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Deliver high standards of personal care, including washing, oral care, toileting, mobility, and manual handling</li><li>Support residents with a wide range of needs, from companionship to complex care</li><li>Assist with daily wellbeing activities, hobbies, and social events</li><li>Maintain accurate care records, including fluid and dietary charts</li><li>Monitor and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff</li><li>Support residents’ nutritional needs, including assistance with eating and drinking</li><li>Help maintain skin integrity and report any concerns</li><li>Accompany residents to appointments where required</li><li>Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals</li><li>Support and mentor new team members during induction and training<br><br></li></ul><strong>About You<br><br></strong><ul><li>Caring, compassionate, and positive approach</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Flexible and reliable, including working alternate weekends</li><li>Available to work 1–3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)</li><li>Previous care experience is desirable but not essential<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We Offer<br><br></strong><ul><li>£13.32 per hour, with enhanced pay for bank holidays</li><li>Funded training and career progression (including pathways to Nursing Associate)</li><li>28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)</li><li>Paid breaks</li><li>Free uniform and meals while on shift</li><li>Recognition and rewards programme</li><li>Workplace pension scheme</li><li>Long service awards</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme<br><br></li></ul><strong>Equality & Inclusion<br><br></strong>Fairmile Grange is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
