Responsibilities

  • Assist with fruit harvesting, sorting, and packing to ensure quality standards are met
  • Operate irrigation systems and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal crop growth
  • Use hand tools and power tools for equipment repair, maintenance, and general farm tasks
  • Support animal care activities where applicable, including feeding and health monitoring
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and assist with repairs as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
  • Assist with general farm maintenance tasks, including the use of mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting
  • Support the implementation of horticultural practices to optimise crop yield

Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge in horticulture or agriculture is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is important
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems and equipment repair techniques
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations
  • Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Animal care experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
