Help us make a difference as HGV Technician Apprentice at our Biffa workshop.

Due to the continued growth, Biffa are looking for HGV technicians to join our growing business. As an HGV Technician at Biffa Waste Services you will be part of the team maintaining our fleet of modern waste collection LGV/HGV vehicles in our workshops.

The role will train you how to provide maintenance and repairs for waste collection vehicles and equipment consisting of various makes, models and types, ranging from car derived vans to artic units and trailers.

You will learn how to;

  • Servicing and repair of vehicle chassis and cab to VOSA requirements as well as MOT preparation and presentation
  • Maintenance and repair of waste handling equipment, including electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper based
  • Support with H&S issues to maintain OHSAS18001 standard already achieved,

Here’s what we require:

  • Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision making and problem-Solving skills.
  • Hold a valid driving licence, Cat B,
