Working closely with managers and leaders, you'll help create a positive employee experience while ensuring people matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation.

  • Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, capability and workplace conduct matters.
  • Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to managers on a wide range of people matters.
  • Supporting investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring processes are fair, compliant and well managed.
  • Coaching managers to build confidence in handling employee relations issues effectively and consistently.
  • Promoting early and informal resolutions to workplace concerns wherever appropriate.

What We're Looking For:
  • You are an experienced HR Advisor, Employee Relations Advisor or Employee Relations specialist.
  • Have a genuine passion for employee relations and confidence managing complex people cases.
  • Naturally curious, with the ability to identify root causes rather than simply treating symptoms.
  • Proactive in addressing concerns before they develop into formal issues.
  • Able to balance empathy with accountability and sound commercial judgement.
  • Confident building trust and credibility with managers in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Comfortable challenging decisions constructively where they are inconsistent, unsupported or do not align with our values.
  • Calm, objective and professional when handling sensitive, complex or contentious situations.
  • Enjoys being visible in the business and building strong relationships with managers and team members.
  • Committed to improving processes, management capability and the overall employee experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
What You'll Get:
  • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Access to ILH Training Academy programmes, apprenticeships and supported study
  • Holiday Purchase Scheme
  • Complimentary uniform dry cleaning, plus discounted personal dry cleaning
  • Interest-Free Season Ticket Loan
  • Workplace Pension
  • Team Member flat-rate and 50% Friends & Family hotel discount
  • 50% discount across ILH food and beverage outlets
  • Discounted drinks at Blooms Caf
  • Employee-funded Health Cash Plan
  • Local Bloomsbury discounts
  • Early Pay access
  • Shopping discounts with selected retailers
  • Salary sacrifice schemes including nursery care, Cycle to Work and technology
  • Access to Mental Health First Aiders, wellbeing support and an Employee Assistance Programme

If you're a people-focused HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, providing expert guidance and making a positive impact on the employee experience, we'd love to hear from you!
