Purpose of Role

We are recruiting for an experienced HSE Advisor to support VINCI’s projects and operational delivery across the Defence Estate throughout London and the South East. This role will primarily focus on health & safety and CDM compliance across both the VIVO Voluntary Estate and Core Estate portfolios, supporting works delivered within secure and highly regulated environments.

Job Description

This is a site-based, operational role where you will be expected to work closely with delivery teams across active projects and maintenance activities on a daily basis. The successful candidate will provide practical HSE guidance, promote safe working practices, and ensure compliance across multiple sites throughout the region. While there is a small environmental element within the role, the primary focus is health, safety, and CDM management.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE support and advice across operational and project activities
• Support the safe delivery of works in line with CDM regulations and current legislation
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across multiple defence sites
• Review RAMS, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Promote a positive health & safety culture across engineers, subcontractors, and management teams
• Support operational teams with compliance, documentation, and best practice guidance
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and operational management regarding HSE performance

Essential Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ practical experience delivering Health & Safety advice within a CDM environment
• Strong understanding of construction and facilities management health & safety practices
• IOSH certified
• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working in a site-based role with regular travel across London and the South East Coast
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain SC Clearance
