Impact & Information Designer (HERVEG.05)

HERVEG.05

We help women and youth farmers grow nutritious food, raise poultry, and increase income sustainably.

HERVeg.05 is looking for an exceptional Impact & Information Designer to help us turn complex work into clear, compelling visual stories.

We work with smallholder farmers across southern Tanzania, and our work involves a lot of information: farmer data, impact results, financial models, program strategies, field stories and evidence.
We need someone who can turn that information into beautiful, evidence-driven documents that make people understand the problem, see our solution and believe in its potential.
Think: impact report + case for support + data visualization + editorial storytelling.

What you will do

  • Design donor-facing case-for-support and fundraising documents
  • Turn complex data into clear charts, infographics and visual stories
  • Create diagrams explaining HERVeg's programs, business model and theory of change
  • Develop compelling page layouts and information hierarchies
  • Work with photographs, farmer stories and field evidence
  • Transform raw documents and data into polished digital PDFs
  • Help shape the visual narrative—not just execute a brief
  • Build reusable visual systems and templates for HERVeg

We are looking for someone who has

  • Strong information and editorial design skills
  • Excellent typography, layout and visual hierarchy
  • Strong data visualization and infographic skills
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe InDesign or equivalent
  • Ability to simplify complex information without losing meaning
  • Strong visual storytelling instincts
  • Experience designing reports, proposals, impact reports, case-for-support documents or similar work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A portfolio that demonstrates thinking, not just aesthetics

You will stand out if you have

Experience working with:
social enterprises • NGOs • development organizations • impact investors • foundations • grant proposals • impact reports • data storytelling

The most important thing

We are not looking for someone who simply makes documents beautiful.
We are looking for someone who can look at 20 pages of information and say:

"This is the story. This is the evidence. This is what the reader needs to see—and here's how we should build the document."
