Junior Copywriter (Tech & AI)

About Us

Changing Creative is a London-based creative studio built for brands trying to leave home properly.

We work across strategy, film, design, social content and brand storytelling, helping Chinese and Asian brands move into Western markets without sounding like they were translated behind a VPN.

We don’t just localise. We help brands find the story, tone and creative language they need to travel without losing what made them distinctive in the first place.

The Role

We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about words. You should be able to take an unclear thought, a rough draft or a translated sentence and turn it into English that feels clear, natural and considered.

The work will vary from project to project. You might be writing social headlines and on-screen text one day, then helping with website copy, a keynote script, a campaign line or a client presentation the next. Sometimes you will write from scratch. Sometimes you will improve something that already exists.

You do not need years of agency experience, but you should have strong writing instincts, good judgement and a real interest in how brands communicate across different cultures.

What You Do

  • Writing and polishing copy for social posts, posters, carousels, video thumbnails and digital content.
  • Developing headlines, claims, captions, calls to action and campaign messaging.
  • Supporting website copy, keynote scripts, host scripts, speeches and presentation wording.
  • Writing and refining on-screen text, subtitles, title cards and motion copy.
  • Turning rough ideas, translated drafts and client feedback into clear, natural English.
  • Creating multiple wording options quickly and explaining the differences between them.
  • Proofreading and checking grammar, tone, consistency, names and factual details before work is delivered.
  • Working closely with creative, strategy and design teams in Figma and Feishu.
  • Responding to straightforward copy requests during working hours, sometimes at short notice.
  • Supporting different projects across technology, AI, automotive, social platforms, creator culture and consumer brands.
  • Working comfortably with teams across different time zones, particularly between the UK and China.

What You Bring

  • You are at the beginning of your career, but you take writing seriously.
  • You have excellent written English and a strong instinct for natural, contemporary language.
  • You notice when something sounds translated, awkward, generic or unnecessarily complicated.
  • You understand the difference between an idea, a headline, a caption and a piece of information.
  • You can write with personality without forcing jokes, slang or wordplay into every line.
  • You are interested in brands, technology, culture, social platforms and how language changes across different audiences.
  • You are comfortable receiving detailed feedback and revising your work without becoming defensive.
  • You are organised, responsive and careful with details.
  • You can work independently, but you also know when to ask the right question.
  • You are comfortable using AI tools to explore options, check your work and improve your workflow, without relying on them to make every decision.
  • Agency experience is helpful, but strong personal, editorial, university or independent writing projects are also welcome.
