Mission

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of STK London's kitchen by maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation. Working closely with the culinary team, you will ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards, enabling the team to deliver an outstanding dining experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities – Operational Excellence
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation throughout all kitchen and stewarding areas.
  • Ensure all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and equipment are cleaned, sanitised and available for service.
  • Support chefs by maintaining a clean and safe working environment during busy service periods.
  • Follow all cleaning schedules, waste disposal procedures and HACCP standards.
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers and storage areas.
  • Monitor and minimise breakages, reporting any damaged equipment promptly.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support goods deliveries, stock movement and the organisation of back-of-house storage areas when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen brigade to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene at all times.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or within a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Positive attitude with a strong team-focused approach.
  • Reliable, hardworking and well organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards.
  • Passion for hospitality and supporting exceptional guest experiences.
