Infosys is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and proactive Lead SQL Data Base Administrator with strong interpersonal and technical skills. He/she will assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration, maintenance, security best practices, create SOPs and other documentation, anticipate problems, and suggest solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate can work remotely from any locations within the U.S. This position may require travel to project location.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience on SQL DBA.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance (queries, indexe s, stored procedures).
  • Design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Ensure database security and manage user access and permissions.
  • Perform regular audits and troubleshoot database issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize schemas.
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Implement automation for routine tasks using scripts or tools.
  • Support high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, mirroring, log shipping).
  • Providing On call support on a rotational basis.
  • Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
  • Knowledge of backup/recovery models, clustering, and replication.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to “U.S. persons” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business, technical teams and higher management.
  • Good in communication and in Client Interaction.
  • Excellent communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation.
  • Planning, Coordination, and Analytical skills.
  • Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work in team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.

Compensation

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:

In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ (add other states as well): $114000 to $167000. In Washington, DC: $106000 to $147500.

Additional Information

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
