⭐Our Learning & Development team

Our Learning & Development team helps our Operations teams build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed in their roles. As a Domain Business Partner, you’ll be the key connection between an operational domain and Learning & Development. You’ll build a deep understanding of the area you support, its people, priorities and performance needs. You will then translate this into clear learning strategies, curriculums and outcomes. You’ll work closely with Designers and Facilitators to bring these strategies to life, ensuring learning remains relevant, accurate and focused on improving both learner and business performance.

🔑You’ll play a key role by…

You’ll connect the dots between our Special Services teams and Learning & Development. You'll dig into operational challenges, figure out what people need to succeed, and shape measurable learning outcomes that move the needle. Working hand in hand with Ops and L&D, you’ll keep learning agile, accurate, and aligned with fast-moving business priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building operational partnerships: Embedding within business areas to understand strategic priorities, emerging challenges, and upcoming change, acting as the key L&D point of contact.
  • Diagnosing performance needs: Identifying and analysing capability gaps to determine where learning interventions will deliver meaningful business impact.
  • Curriculum design: Translating operational skills and role requirements into structured curriculums and measurable learning outcomes for design and delivery teams.
  • Supporting design and delivery: Partnering closely with Designers and Facilitators to provide the subject matter expertise, operational context, and real-time guidance needed for effective training.
  • Content governance and compliance: Maintaining deep domain knowledge and working with Knowledge Management to ensure learning materials remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with updated guidance.
  • Evaluating impact: Defining success measures with stakeholders, using performance data and learner feedback to assess the effectiveness and ROI of learning solutions.
  • Continuous improvement and strategy: Gathering cross-functional insights to continually refine learning interventions and help shape the broader operational L&D strategy.

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

  • Domain Knowledge: You have experience working, or partnering with Specialist Services (Either Finhealth, Complaints or VAIB).
  • Stakeholder management & collaboration: Proven ability to build trusted partnerships across teams, influence operational leaders, and work seamlessly with cross-functional partners (Design, Delivery, and Knowledge Management).
  • Curriculum design: Strong analytical skills to diagnose operational challenges, execute learning needs analysis, and translate complex requirements into structured, measurable curriculums.
  • You turn tricky problems into practical learning: You love digging into operational headaches, figuring out what people really need, and designing clear, measurable training that actually works.
  • You understand how operations tick: You have hands on operational experience and understand how targeted learning directly moves the needle on day to day performance.
  • You speak human: You cut through jargon. You can take messy or technical information and make it simple, engaging, and easy to act on.
  • You use data to make things better: You're comfortable looking at feedback, metrics, and team performance to see what's landing, what isn't, and where to tweak.
  • You're proactive and flexible: You don't just wait for training requests. You spot needs early, juggle multiple priorities calmly, and roll with changes in direction.
  • You care about getting the details right: You keep risk, compliance, and accuracy front of mind so our guidance is always dependable.
  • You love helping people grow: You're genuinely excited about development and care about the difference great learning makes to someone's work day.
