Job Description

OTS Solicitors are offering summer Legal Internships. The Internship is normally full-time lasting 2-4 weeks and is open to University students only. At this time we are not open to applications from prospective interns under the age of 18.

Prospective Interns will have recently graduated and need not have completed the LPC or BPTC, but must have a demonstrable interest in law. Above all, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is able to work under pressure and is keen to develop a practical working-knowledge of all areas of legal services offered by the firm.

During the Internship you will be required to assist Legal Services Officers, Solicitors, Head of Departments and Management with a variety of tasks. We try to provide as much exposure as possible to the day to day legal tasks as opposed to merely administrative tasks.

Occasionally assignments will also include talking to clients under supervision, understanding their needs from various channels, such as telephone enquiries, email enquiries, social media engagements, etc. During the Internship you will be expected to use your initiative and shadow Solicitors with legal tasks relating to , , , and ; including appeals and .
